Work Planned Week of May 2nd - May 8th.

From Shawmut Design and Construction:

• Building demolition and shipping of debris continues.

• Demolition and removal will move from the east to the west side of the project site this week.

The 599 Somerville project team recognizes that demolition is one of the more impactful activities for the neighborhood. The 599 team is making every effort to mitigate those impacts including the regular monitoring of air quality, noise and vibration.

As a reminder, during demolition and removal of the existing one story masonry building, a full-time fire detail from Somerville Fire Department will be onsite.
