Work Planned Week of April 25th - May 1st.

From Shawmut Design and Construction:

• Building demo and removal continues.

• Removal will be focused on the east side of the project site this week.

As a reminder, during demolition and removal of the existing one story masonry building, a full-time fire detail from Somerville Fire Department will be onsite.

While short-term in duration, the 599 Somerville project team recognizes that demolition is one of the more impactful activities for the neighborhood and are making every effort to mitigate those impacts including the regular monitoring of air quality, noise and vibration.
